I am lucky

I am blessed to be born in 80′s.  You know why???me

Comm’on you can answer this yourself. People like us who are born in 1980s – 1995 are the lucky ones. It seems like the children of current time regime are born with loads of talent.

Look at  the tv shows these days…every single kid is dancing, singing or acting in serials. I dont understand how can these kids be so damn talented.

I cant dance even at 28 & they are so damn cool dancers. I dont think that it has to do much with practice & hardwork.

If I would have born in recently with the amount of talent I have, nobody would have even talked with me;forget about beings friends. I am sure I would have kicked out of all tv shows even before the audition…

Thank you God for being so kind to me :) !!

Fake Friendship/Plastic Friendship/hi – hello Friendship/Friendship/True Friendship

Long Headline!!!! But what I can I do…This is my new discovery. These are categories of friendship as defined by me.

No, I am not a psychological doctor or someone. Its just strike to me that if I have to place my friends in categories (not same as orkut) what parameters should I use.

Coming to each category

  1. Fake Friendship—-He /She is an enemy of yours but because of some social factors they can kill you….
  2. Plastic Friendship—-They just want to show “how caring they are” towards you but inside they are not….
  3. hi – hello Friendship— they don’t know you & also don’t want to know about you but…..
  4. Friendship— College & Gali friends who had made you the person you are now…The ones with whom you have had lots of fun & have terrific memories. I am sure they would have educated you a lot as well : P
  5. True Friendship—I don’t know…I haven’t seen except movies

So, which category do your friends come in !!!!!

Attention please

Attention….
I m listening this word since childhood;may be standard 1 or something.
But the real importance of “Attention” , I am still trying to find out.
Lets look how my attention is divided these days
Office —100 official emails/day to read, 50 to respond, 5-10 meetings, informal discussion with team mates, water cooler gossips
I am overloaded with information; useful or not useful is a different issue
Home—-orkut, gmail, twitter, linkedin, facebook, newspapers, tv serials, movies, office mails etc etc
I have more that what my brain can process. With so much on my plate what is the RESULT
I have hardly time to think or reflect. How can I be creative or work towards my own personal develpoment if I dont think…
Mind it its not a TIME MANAGEMENT problem…Its a problem of how am I devoting my attention to different things…
Think about it …U may also have the same problem

why is my manager paid

Is it not the  most interesting question which every associate want to know about his immediate manager?

For me, my manager is being paid for sending FYI mails to team, conducting team meetings to tell you how pathetic you are, for doing micro management with respect to in & out timings, not understanding what we want, changing the plan at the last moment causing a lot of irritatiion, promoting his favorite people, asking you to rework on the report/document with his last minute comments, blaming the associates for not performing & taking all the credit for good work done by an associate….

So, if this is why he/she is being paid so high…I would love to shift in this role…..But is it 100% true

I am more interested in understanding what happens behind the scenes & how does performing above mentioned tasks help my manager in running the show…

Do you have any idea…please let me know

Art of wishing

Have you ever regretted that you wish have fulfilled??? Please think before answering…

For me it has been a problem always…Isnt it stupid…you wish & then you regret….

For example–I wished that I get a better job…But when I got the new  job I realized its not good…Certain dimensions were missing which I did not think initially..My profile was good but  the team I got was a pain in the head. Money was good but visibility was low.

There are numerous examples like this.

Careful analysis says that problem is always with the incomplete nature wish rather  than fulfillment of wish.

Humans  tend to wish without  defining the proper boundaries & scope of their wish. We tend to wish “what I dont want ” rather that ” what i want”… We tend to run away from problems & hence we wish for things where in we dont have to face those problems.

So, a lot of analysis needs to go in while we prepare ourselves for making a wish. We need to make a proper analysis of our problems/issues/tensions & then only we can decide what we want. This helps in defining our goal & end objective with lot of clarity. When we are clear in our mind, we tend to focus & all this universe helps us in attaining our desires.

Hope this helps!!!!!!!!

life after 35

What will be my life at the age of 35 ?

This question bothers me a lot..Since childhood I always had plans for future as in complete schooling, do engineering, do MBA ,get a job, get a good job, get married, own a car, own a good car & house….Most of these goals I have achieved but others I will achieve in next few years….

What will I do after that. I dont have any goals for myself…I guess it will be all routine life after 35. Taking care of family types…..But I want more…I want to do more for myself…I hope to get few options before I touch 35…

Relationship

This is the only thing  that everyone has in this world….No matter you have money, home  or anything but you will always carry “Relationship”…with wife, family, friends, managers, colleaques, strangers, god & what not…We do have relations with things like …home, car, company …Even when a child is born, first thing he has developed or built is RELATIONSHIP…

Have ever wondered why?? My best guess is that people want to give a name to eveything..tagging it..This is how we relate to each other…if we dont have relations how will we know who we are , where we stand in the big big big world.

So one thing is clear…one has to has relationship in this world. If one has relationship, one need to maintain it to be in peace & harmony. If relation need to be maintained, there must be some ground rules…

So the basic rules should be

1) Spent time to nurture the bonding

2) give more, expect less

3) have a will to understand others point of view & appreciate it

There must be many….So it is possible that we can manage all relationships successfully. NO ….Because every relationship is different & one need to play different roles….which is never easy & it also depends on the response from the other side….

I think entire life we try to keep relationship healthy…we plan & have goals…as & when we achieve  goals …our relatioship with ourself becomes stronger…we care for our family & make our relationship with our family better…So everything we do utlimately boils down to relationship…

People may argue its not relation which is important but its love which carries weight,,,,My point is you only love people which are related t o you by some kind of relationship ….recognized or unrecognized(mental attraction)…

what do you say….

Vizag te Araku

vizagLast weekend I have been to Vizag ( Vishakhatpatnam, AP) for a change. I just want to share my experice you all.

The Plan was that on Saturday we will go to Araku & stay there overnight. During the day, we were suppose to cover the sight seens between Vizag & Araku. On Sunday, we would come back to Vizag & explore the natural beauty of Vizag.

Being a Nainitalite, I was excited to see what Araku offers so that I can compare between My Nainital & Araku :)

Our flight landed on time at Vizag airport. We had already booked a cab for next two days ( Thanks to Dipankar) & our driver Devid was able to speak hindi …so till now everything was fine….

Our first destination was Jungle Bells resort of AP tourism where we had our breakfast…Only bread omlete & poori was availble…Yaar Jungle walo…please add stuff to your menu…

after that we went towards Borra Caves…They say these caves are 150 million old caves…no doubt…those look like old….I enjoyed roaming in those caves…Arrangements can be improved in Borra caves…

After that while returning we heard Devid bhai saying that there is a waterfall near by & we can try ….The only thing is we need to take a jeep as the ride till waterfall is very bumpy….By god going to that waterfall is my life biggest mistake till now….the road doesnt exist…its mountain on which they drove the jeep…I had started feeling the backpain…after i guess 7-8 kms we stopped…then we need to walk 1 mile to reach that waterfall. & that 1 mile was full of stairs….Idint go :(  I dint want to go…So broken hearts …me n pallavi came back to your jeep & cursing devid bhai & jeep wala driver …we came back to our cab…

Then the best part started ….journey to Araku valley is full of beautiful scenes …..the hills, the fog, the greenery, the serenity….we reached…hill resort of Ap tourism & checked in to our room ….it was a nice room with a big balcony displaying the mesmerizing beauty of Araku….We had our lunch & then we headed to a local museum & chappa ( a river)…..I enjoyed these 2 places…Though AP tourism, I guess can add few more spots to make a more valuable for tourist….we clicked more than 100 photos… :)

After having dinner we decided to call it day & came back to our room…to my surprise something has bitten me on my hand & it has started swelling & was painful too…I realized there are khatmals in the bed ( I dunno what u call khatmal in english) & they are so many…I started killing them one by one …full night they were bitting me here & there…I cursed AP tourism & my decision to stay in their resort….

Next morning we headed back to Vizag & reached there by afternoon & checked in at AP tourism Rushikonda beach resort….I had trusted AP tourism a lot :) ….That day we covered Anathagiri, harbour ( smelled like hell) , Rushikonda beach…

All & all it was an ok trip…We got a break after such a long time

…Things can be improved by AP tourism….I hope they will….

Do you have ideal Job. I dont ?

office1
office
office2
office1This is my 4th company in 4.5 years & I am still searching my dream job. It makes me wonder whether I am looking for something that does not exist or there is something missing in my skill set.
Let me define my ideal job to give a clear picture of what I intent to achieve.
“It is a position which involves mutiple responsibilities- Like Business Analysis, Consulting, Proposal making, Interaction with Top Management,
Decision Making , working on New Products along with excellent management skills shown by my managers, support from colleagues & team members, positive
flow of energy & healthy Competition.”
Now the things that had taken away the idealness in my last 4 jobs are
Have a mindset that whatever tasks I do at my job can be done by any graduate
Doing same work everyday without any scope for change
Bad managers with pathetic leadership skills
Politics in  the group
No growth in terms of knowledge, Salary hike & exposure to better opportunities
Getting unncessary blames for the things which I didnt do
All these negative things have made the atmosphere dirty & somehow have been a major driver for me to look for a change
But now I understand one thing is which I guess I would have understood 4 years ago.
Never look for a perfect job instead convert the current job into a perfect job. During this journey the learning which one have which be for the lifetime…
At the ends it all about attitude…

Never look for a perfect job. It does not exist becuase so many parties are involved such as manager, colleaques, client & others & you cant control them as per your wish.

Instead convert the current job into a perfect job. During this journey the learning which one have which be for the lifetime. It will teach you the basics of life such as persistence, courage, creativity, people management & what not

At the ends it all about attitude…
