Is it not the most interesting question which every associate want to know about his immediate manager?
For me, my manager is being paid for sending FYI mails to team, conducting team meetings to tell you how pathetic you are, for doing micro management with respect to in & out timings, not understanding what we want, changing the plan at the last moment causing a lot of irritatiion, promoting his favorite people, asking you to rework on the report/document with his last minute comments, blaming the associates for not performing & taking all the credit for good work done by an associate….
So, if this is why he/she is being paid so high…I would love to shift in this role…..But is it 100% true
I am more interested in understanding what happens behind the scenes & how does performing above mentioned tasks help my manager in running the show…
Do you have any idea…please let me know

Hi, Nayan.
I would hope your manager is getting paid to ensure that you know what it is you have to achieve, giving you everything you need to get the job done (including the right amount of time), removing any obstacles in your path and keeping your morale up. If he can do all that and nothing else, then (from your point of view) he is a good manager.
All the best.

The same question pings my head when the whole work load including that of my manager’s is weighed on my head…..
But trust me having a manager is not bad at all…as someone above mentioned they definitely shove away the obstacles from ur path and keep ur morale high….
N they defnitely take the blame for all
